Abstract:
Reporting on case studies in Kenya and Tanzania, this paper illustrates the recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report that claims that the world’s poorest populations will be the hardest hit by climate changes. The IPCC states that there is, therefore, a shift in focus from climate impacts as a purely natural scientific phenomenon to climate impacts as a development issue. The case studies in this report are meant to illustrate that the interaction between various “global” environmental problems can result in different impacts in different places
