Abstract:
The post reform experience shows that there have been some positive macro economic indicators implying that the economy is improving. However, the welfare of the people is not increasing at the same rate. This phenomenon raises the need to address the issues of human development, which entails participation of individuals in matters that affect them. The study examines issues of population, employment and income and links them to the level of human development.
