The paper is one of the six major themes in the ESRF research programme that provides a state-of-the-art review with regard to the current knowledge on the experience of investment, foreign aid and domestic savings mobilization in Tanzania. This is specifically done in order to identify the knowledge gaps that may be subject for further research. The paper used secondary information and data, which were obtained from, Bank of Tanzania, National Bureau of Statistics, International Financial Institutions and several other publications.
